DOES OUR LOCAL CREEK NEED PROTECTION?
Students at Killara Primary School in Australia were concerned about their local creek. They made observations and collected data from the creek and determined that it was inhabitable for many macro invertebrates. They then surveyed other students to come up with possible solutions and presented their solutions to the local city council.

This student delved into the many things it means to be a teenager.  The wonderful site she created speaks not only to teens, but also to parents, teachers, and those in their pre-teen years about physical and emotional changes, peer pressure and self-esteem issues, and how to “survive” the roller coaster ride experienced by many in their teenage years.

Whether or not you are familiar with horses, the research conducted by this student and the well-thought-out way it has been presented is informative and interesting.

After a drought students at Sandy Creek High School in Georgia decided to create a Web site to educate younger students and teachers about the importance of water conservation.

Students in Bulgaria hoped to inform the public about the possible effects of nuclear energy on the population as well as the environment and motivate the public to make a change.

A Grade 10 student in Virginia took her keen interest in birds to the next level by investigating whether or not the various species birds native to her area prefer to feed on specific seeds.  Her goal was to create a seed mixture that would encourage these native birds to remain living in her community.
